Random People

Today, while at Walgreens, my cashier greeted me by doing the whole “how are you?” – me”great”, then the cashier fella goes, “that’s good, everyday is a blessing to be alive!, or at least that’s what I keep telling myself until I believe it” haha, we shared a chuckle, and exchanged happy banter about blessings, and talked a bit about my tattoo of an atom.

As it turned out I needed $20 cash for my new job, and it broken down, he was a bit hesitant but realized that the lady before me paid with a whole bunch of ones, so thanks to her he was able to accommodate my request. He Pointed out the perfecting time. 🙂

True, it’s nothing wild or a movie scene. But small moments like that make a day, a moment, a connection.

Mr. Walgreen’s guy, thank you! For inspiring me to treat each person I meet like a Long Lost Friend. And to be as genuine as possible about it!!

“The only appropriate way to treat today is with appreciation and joy!”

Grandpaw Peter Koyote “The Simple Truth”

I have the fortune, of having meet Grandpaw Peter Koyote at a Peace Fest at Lake Dallas, and I must say. He is the most genuine H.I.P.P.I.E.(HAPPY INTELLIGENT PEOPLE PERUSING INFINITE ENLIGHTENMENT) out there!!

This is one of several videos of his, that talks of conscious awareness and the current changes people are feeling.

I can see clearly

I Can See Clearly Now- Johnny Nas

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

I think I can make it now, the pain is gone
All of the bad feelings have disappeared
Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin?for
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Look all around, there’s nothin?but blue skies
Look straight ahead, nothin?but blue skies

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone,
I can see all obstacles in my way
Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind
It’s gonna be a bright (bright), bright (bright)
Sun-Shiny day.

Numbers

Positivity has been an on going  journey in my life, that began over two years ago.  An important catalyst was reoccurring numbers, specifically “888” which then developed to “38”.

One summer day, a friend lent me a book while we were at the pool.  I used to be a big time reader in my youth, but college had killed that joy.  Having graduated and not given reading much thought, this lent book was an example of Perfect Timing.
It  was called “The Secret of Letting Go by Guy Finley.  I highly recommend it to any pessimists out there masquerading as “Realists”.

Here’s a little bit from the book, and then after that, back to the numbers thing.

1
SELF-DOUBT is born out of being identified with the idea that how you feel about yourself depends upon how others feel about you. Give up self-doubt. It only makes you more dependent on others who can’t do anything about their own self-doubt. INDEPENDENCE IS CONFIDENCE.

2
SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS is born out of being identified with the idea that just b/c you can point out something that is wrong, places you above that wrongness. Give up the self-righteousness. It only feels like something right. It is coming from something that is Wrong. Right isn’t something you feel. It IS something you are.

3
SELF-PITY and past regrets are born out of being identified with the idea that you could have done differently than you did. If you could have, you would have. Give up the regret!! It only ties you to the old life-level that you didn’t know better and keeps you from the one that does!

4
ANGER is born out of being identified with the fear you feel when others won’t conform to your point of view. Give up your anger towards others and yourself by seeing that the force of fear is not strength. Remember that for any and every action of force there is an equal and opposite one. This explains why the fighting never ends. LET IT END.

5
SELF-TORMENT is born out of being identified with the idea that the more you suffer the more real, the more important, you must be. Give up all self-torment. It drives you–but it doesn’t take you anywhere. Who you really are never suffers over who it isn’t.

–the secret of letting go

After reading this book, I’d be out and about and when a positive thought came to mind or positive action, I would then have my attention drawn to something with the numbers “888”.  Be it, a license plate, part of a phone number (and no not those 1-888-#s), or an account number, you name it.

The more I “policed” my thoughts and made them positive ones, the more I saw the three 8s…

This later morphed into seeing 38 everywhere.. and my theory behind why these numbers, I will go into in another blog.

BUT!!

These numbers stopped showing up in my life. I met the woman of my dreams, she moved in, we made plans, we enjoyed good times.. and then the numbers slowly went away….

Over a year later, we are still together, except now we’re living in Austin, TX which we had made serious plans on doing, and I’m still madly in love with her, and vice versa.

Finding a job has been a struggle. This is the longest I’ve gone w/o employment, but I’ve maintained high hopes and thinking “Hopefully I’ll get this, or something better!”

THEN IT HIT ME!!!!

A business Idea.

Without going much into it, much planning has begun.

BAM

38 is back. and in full force. It went from maybe seeing it once every other week or so, to literally in the past few weeks I’ve seen it 4-15 times a day!!!!

Each time in reference to this business idea, that I’m sure I can make  Positive for all people involved.

Now, this may sound crazy. But, I’m a firm believer in the Law of attraction and all it has done for me, along with positivity. Since i’m a nerd for math, numbers speak to me.  I believe that other people may get “signs” in other ways, that resonate better to them. Be it, songs that pop up, types of people, a phrase, scent, you name it. We all have life as a cheerleader, helping us in the right direction, giving us the green light.—- we just need to be aware enough to notice it.

Break out of habits. break out of routines  that only serve in deading your thirst for life. JUST. LET. GO.

signing out-

and loving life!
